Flexon Speed-Master Series

Speed-masters are designed for use in high-frequency traffic areas, on new doorways or as a replacement for steel or sectional overhead roll-up doors.

The unique direct-drive system, panel break-away feature, and sectional panel design, have fewer mechanical parts to repair or replace, making all Speed-master doors the practical and efficient way to reduce energy costs and increase productivity at an affordable price.

Standard Design Features

Flex-Logic Interactive Touch Screen Control Box

• Manages door functions with an easy to use touch screen.
• Set door limits from the floor; access diagnostic and event menus for effective troubleshooting and reduced downtime; program any type and quantity of activations; and much more.
• UL approved NEMA rated 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13.
• Available only on Flexon Speed-Master doors, the Flex-Logic interactive touch screen control box is completely programmable and displays real-time position of the door panel on the touch screen.
• All models exceot model 500.

Direct-Drive System

•  5-year, unlimited cycle warranty (excluding Model 500)
• Powerful motor cycles the door at a safe controlled speed
• Standard voltage: 230v or 460v/3 phase/60Hz

Sectional Panel Design

• 1/8' thick Bulldog XT, puncture resistant PVC material, maintains flexibility to -20 degrees F.  Available colors: black, blue and orange.
• Patented interlocking aluminum hinge profiles act as built-in windbars on exterior models.  This eliminates the need for complicated windbars and tensioning systems.  The hinge profiles have a 5-year warranty against excessive wear.
• Full-width vision area promotes safer working conditions for motorized traffic and personnel.
• Vision material available in standard and low temperature PVC for both controlled and cold temperature applications.

Low-Profile Steel Guide Tracks

• Heavy-duty, structural steel construction.
• Front-panel is hinged-to-open for easy access and servicing of panel and hinges.  Non-hinged on models 500 & 750.

Breakaway Bottom Bar

• Breaks out of guide tracks upon accidental impact.
• Bendaway tabs on models 500, 700 and 1000.  Breakaway tabs on models 1500, 2500, 3500 and 4500
• Less expensive to repair/replace as compared to competitive doors, since it does not support any type of tensioning system.

Choice of Activation

• Accommodates any traffic type or pattern: pull cord, push button, radar/motion detector, photocell, induction loop and remote control.
• Other special types of activations including card readers and key pads may also be used.

Panel Reversing Devices

• Reversing edge reverses the panel if accidentally contacted from the side or the bottom.
• Two reflector style photocells (one for each side of doorway) detect any object in its path and reverses the door to prevent closing.

Full-Perimeter Seal

• For effective energy control on all models except 750.

Model 500

Recommended for interior doorways up to 10'0" wide x 12'0" high with little wind or negative air pressure.

• Operational speed 25" per second up and down.
• 1/2 HP direct-drive, 90-degree, electric motor with 1-year unlimited cycle warranty.
• NEMA 4X electro-mechanical control box, hardwired and without plug.
• 40oz reinforced vinyl panel material is puncture resistant.  Available colors: black and blue.

Model 750

Recommended for interior doorways up to 10'0" wide x 12'0" high with little wind or negative air pressure.

• Operational speed 36" per second up and down.
• 3/4HP direct-drive electric motor/gearbox with positive brake release for manual override operation and 5-year unlimited cycle warranty.
• Optional full perimeter seals.

For food processing applications, model 750-HP includes low-profile stainless steel guide tracks.  Optional severe-duty motor available for wash-down requiremements.

For clean room applications, model 750-CR includes low-profile stainless steel guide tracks and white, puncture-resistant, heat-sealed, unitized panel construction with full-width vision area.

Model 1000

Recommended for interior doorways up to 14'0" wide x 14'0" high, with little wind or negative air pressure.

• Operational speed 36" per second up and down.
• 1-1/2 HP direct-drive electric motor/gearbox with positive brake release for manual override operation and 5-year unlimited cycle warranty.
• Deeper side tracks on doors 12' wide and over.
• May also be used on exterior doorways based upon review of application by a Flexon representative.

Model 1500

Recommended for interior to exterior doorways up to 14'0" wide x 16'0" high.

• Operational speed 36" per second up and down.
• 1-1/2 HP direct-drive electric motor/gearbox with positive brake release for manual override operation and 5-year unlimited cycle warranty.
• Deeper side tracks on doors 12' wide and over.

Model 2500

Recommended for interior to exterior doorways up to 16'0" wide x 300 sq. ft.

• Operational speed 32" per second up and down
• 3 HP direct-drive electric motor/gearbox with positive brake release for maual override operation and 5-year unlimited cycle warranty.

Model 4500

Recommended for extra large interior and exterior doorways up to 27'0" wide x 675 sq. ft.

• Operational speed 24" per second up and down,
• 7.5 HP direct-drive electric motor/gearbox with positive brake release for manual override operation and 5-year unlimited cycle warranty.
• Roll tube/gearbox flexible coupler absorbs any deflection in the drive system. 

Speed-Master Summer/Winter Panel

• The Speed-Master summer/winter panel system makes it possible to interchange the standard Speed-master solid Bulldog XT panel material with our Screen-Master high-strength, polyester mesh screen panel material during warmer months, or in consistently warmer climates.
• Standard track color: gray.
• Create a physical barrier to prevent airborne contaminants, such as birds and insects, from entering the building.
• Insect control and ventilation without compromising traffic flow through exterior doorways.

Speed-Master-HE

• Specially designed to comply with hazardous environment applications requiring Class-I, Division-1, Group-D.
• Explosion-proof and intrinsically safe components meet the necessary safety codes required in these critical plant locations.
