With Chalfant's 3-in-1 Guardian Dor-Seal System, customers are discovering yet another important benefit: ADDED SECURITY, available on all standard compression seals. The Guardian 3-in-1 Dor-Seal System's unique triple-duty design keeps conditioned air and packages in while keeping people out.

Theft Control System
When trucks are unguarded at the loading dock, thieves can cut through the foam core of ordinary dock seals, gaining access to the warehouse and trailers and the valuable merchandise inside. NO MORE! The Chalfant 3-in-1 Guardian Dor-Seal System features a vinyl-coated chain-link inner surface that ensures the foam pad is secure, making it impossible to cut through with a typical knife.

CHALFANT Series 100 Standard

Chalfant Series 100 provides the best possible seal between the building and truck at your loading dock–designed for the common variety of trucks that can arrive at your dock.

How It Works
A truck backs into your loading dock and compresses the Series 100 Standard to create a seal. The truck is then stopped by properly selected loading dock bumpers to suit the application. When loading/unloading is completed at the dock and the truck departs, your Chalfant Series 100 foam pad returns to its original shape, ready for the next truck.

CHALFANT Series 101 & 103 Curtain

Chalfant Series 101 & 103 Curtains provide a tight seal between your building and truck at your loading dock–designed for the common variety of trucks that can arrive at your dock. The Chalfant Series 101 provides a fixed, full-width head curtain and the Chalfant Series 103 provides head curtain adjustability by means of pull ropes.

How It Works
A truck backs into your loading dock and compresses the Series 100 Standard to create a seal as the truck is stopped by properly selected loading dock bumpers to suit the application. Loading/unloading is completed at the dock before the truck departs, and Chalfant Series 101 & 103's foam pad and head curtain return to their original shapes, ready for the next truck.

CHALFANT Series 200 Adjustable

Chalfant Series 200 Adjustable provides a tight seal between the building and truck at your loading dock–designed for the common variety of trucks with various heights that can arrive at your dock.

Allows for adjusting the height of the Chalfant Series 200 Adjustable before a truck backs into your loading dock to compress the Series 200 Adjustable, creating a seal. The truck is then stopped by properly selected loading dock bumpers to suit the application. After loading/unloading is completed at the dock and the truck departs, the Chalfant Series 200 Adjustable foam pad returns to its original shape, ready for the next truck.

Determine What Meets Your Needs
At Chalfant we start with your application criteria - The dimensional data of your facility that we require can be found on the back of any of our submittal literature.

Which Style Seal, Shelter or Hybrid Unit?
The goal of your application may emphasize one feature more so than the others. Below is a brief guideline summary for product application.

• Compression Seals
Provide tightest seal at the dock while limiting full access to the back of the trailer. Compression Seals require building to withstand 35 to 90 lbs of pressure per foot. Most economical investment choice.
    Standard Seal – Ideal door size 8’ x 8’ to 9’ x9’. Seal past bumper 4” – 6”
    Curtain Seal – Ideal door size 8’ x 9’ to 9’ x 10’. Seal past bumper 4” – 6”
    Adjustable Seal - Ideal door size 8’ x 9’ to 9’ x 10’. Seal past bumper 4” – 6”

• Enveloping Seals
Provide an efficient seal at the dock, full access to the back of the trailer, and your building needs to withstand very minimal pressure. Moderate investment choice.
    Dock Shelter – Ideal door size up to 12’ x 12’. Seal past bumper min. 12”
    Flex Shelter – Ideal door size up to 12’ x 12’. Seal past bumper min. 12”
    Rail Shelter – Ideal door size up to 15’ x 15’. Seal projection as much as 84”

• Hybrid Units
Provide a combination of features found in our compression seals and enveloping seals, giving them capabilities unique to these units. Moderate investment choice.
”L” Pad – Ideal door size 8’ x 8’ to 10’ x 10’. Seal past bumper 10” – 12”
Soft Shelter – Ideal door size up to 12’ x 12’. Seal past bumper 12” – 14”
